I’ll be preaching again this coming Sunday. My text will be Luke 4.14-21, in which Jesus stands up before his local synagogue, reads from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah and then states that the words of Isaiah are being fulfilled in him. My working sermon title is “His Mission, Our Mission.”

This coming Sunday, August 23, 2009, I’ll be preaching from John 6.56-69. The working sermon title is “No Other Stream.” The sermon title comes from C. S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair and is a line I often think of when I read this passage, it ties into Peter’s rhetorical question of “Lord to whom can we go?”
