So far we have 21 people signed up for the Bible Study on Paul’s letter to the Philippians. So we’re adding another class at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons, beginning August 29, 2010 in addition to the classes on Thursday afternoons at 5:15 p.m. beginning August 26, 2010. Both classes will cover the same material, so you’re encouraged to simply pick the one that is best suited to your schedule.
The study guide we’ll be using is by N. T. Wright, and there are copies available if you want to peruse the book before deciding whether or not to participate. In addition, amazon.com has a description and some pages that you can look at. The study format is a brief introduction to each passage, followed by questions to be completed at home and then shared with the class.
The cost of books are $8 from amazon.com but only $6.40 from Cokesbury. The ISBN is 978-0-8308-2191-4 if you want to order your own.
